Body of Ohio man found in Ohio River

The body of a white male found in the Ohio River near Caesars’ Glory of Rome casino boat on Dec. 2 has been identified as James D. Humphries, 22, Defiance, Ohio.
Humphries had been reported as missing since about Nov. 7, according to the Metro Louisville Police Dept.
The Kentucky Medical Examiner’s office ruled that Humphries had drowned.
Employees from Caesars had spotted the body floating in the main channel of the river. The employees launched a service boat and went to the body, secured it to the boat and brought it to shore.
They then contacted the Indiana State Police.
The ISP dive team removed the then-unidentified body from the river.
The Harrison County Coroner had the autopsy performed the next day by the Kentucky Medical Examiner’s office.
No foul play is suspected, police said.
