Charles Stroud

Charles R. Stroud, 72, Marengo, died at 4:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 27, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Eckerty, born July 13, 1932, he was the son of the late Ruben and Vagime Leasor Stroud.
He was a retired machinist, a farmer and an Army veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, the former Leta Grunden; a son, Lance Stroud of Marengo; a daughter, Robin Patsfall of Woodbridge, Wash.; two brothers, Adrian Stroud of Indianapolis and Herbert Stroud of Bristol; three grandchildren, and a great-granddaughter.
Private graveside service: Tuesday, Nov. 30, at Mathers Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Richard Brown.
Arrangements: Denbo Funeral Home in English.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Leukemia Society.
