James F. Allen

James F. Allen, 63, English, died at 8:25 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2004, in the emergency room at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
A native of Leavenworth, born Jan. 1, 1941, he was the son of the late Roy and Bessie Satterfield Allen.
He retired from Keller Manufacturing Co. in Corydon in 1985 after 15 years, and was a former employee of Lincoln Hills Development Corp. in Crawford County before retiring in January 2001 after 14 years. He served as pastor at the Leavenworth Mission of Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Allen; two brothers, Neville and Robert Allen, and a sister, Eula Mae Satterfield.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, the former Ruth House; a daughter, Lori Byrd of English; three brothers, Ernest Allen of Louisville, Charles Allen of Leavenworth and Ross Allen of Mississippi; five sisters, Beatrice McCormick of English, Violet England of Georgetown, Wanda McKinley of New Albany, Charlotte Denton of Pekin and Patricia of French Lick, and two grandsons.
Funeral: Friday, Oct. 29, at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo with burial in Riddle Cemetery near Leavenworth.
Officiants: Elder Harlan Maymon and High Priest Don Maymon.
