Soccer pairings released

The annual Indiana High School Athletic Association boys and girls soccer tournaments are quickly approaching. The pairings were announced last week.
The local girls teams will see action at Jeffersonville.
On Monday, Oct. 11, Floyd Central plays North Harrison at 6 p.m., while New Albany will go toe to toe against Corydon Central at 7:30.
The first-round winners from Monday square off against each other on Oct. 13 at 6 p.m., with Jeffersonville facing Providence in the bye game.
The championship is slated for Oct. 16 at 3 p.m.
The boys sectional will be held at Floyd Central, which has two lighted fields.
On Monday, Oct. 11, at 6 p.m., New Albany goes up against Christian Academy of Indiana.
Four games will be played on Tuesday as Restoration Christian takes on Providence, Floyd Central faces Corydon Central, North Harrison faces Charlestown and Jeffersonville plays the winner of New Albany-Christian Academy.
The semifinal round will be held Thursday at 6 and 8 p.m., with the championship slated to kick off at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Tickets are $4 per session or $7 for a season pass.
