Earl L. Batliner

Earl L. (Bud) Batliner, 85, Floyds Knobs, died Monday, Sept. 20, 2004, at his home.
He was a farmer and a retired bus driver for the New Albany-Floyd County Consolidated School Corp., and a member of St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church in Floyds Knobs.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, the former Velma Banet; a son, Buddy Batliner of Floyds Knobs; two daughters, Barbara Owsley of Corydon and Carol Kannapel of Sellersburg; two sisters, Norma Striegel of New Albany and Georgia Striegel of Floyds Knobs; nine grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Friday, Sept. 24, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. at Generations Funeral Home in New Albany.
Funeral: Saturday, Sept. 25, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Hospice of Southern Indiana or to his church.
