Robert L. Hublar Sr.

Robert L. (Sam) Hublar Sr., 69, Elizabeth, died Saturday evening, July 31, 2004, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Floyd County, born July 23, 1935, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Edna Henriott Hublar.
He retired from New Albany Motors, was an Air Force veteran of the Korean War, and a member of American Legion Post 123 in Corydon and St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lanesville.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, the former Virginia Johnson; two sons, Robert L. Jr. and Lawrence (Rusty) Hublar; a daughter, Dawn E. Hublar; a brother, William Hublar; three sisters, Mary Cunningham, Edna Carley and Anna Howard, and three grandsons.
A prayer service was Tuesday at Generations Funeral Home in New Albany.
Funeral: Wednesday, Aug. 4, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Lanesville.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Lions Eye Institute.
