Wolfe scores 40, sets record

Corydon Central junior-to-be Stannye Wolfe set a new tournament record recently at the Indiana’s Finest Black Cat Invitational at Evansville Basketball Academy.
Wolfe, a 6-2 post player for the Lady Panthers and the Southern Indiana Swish AAU team, poured in 40 points in a 101-45 victory over the Southern Indiana Catz. Wolfe had 23 in the opening half and then backed it up with 17 more points in the second frame.
Wolfe went on to score 32, 27 and 22 points in four games for a total of 121 points. That averages out to 30.25 ppg., which is also a new tourney record.
