Miller, Beaven set to play All-Stars tonight

North Harrison’s Tara Miller and Corydon Central’s Dana Beaven will take part in the Junior-Senior Indiana All-Star exhibition basketball game tonight (Wednesday) at Shelbyville High School.
Miller and Beaven, who will be juniors this fall, will be part of the squad that battles the Indianapolis Star Indiana All-Star Team to prepare the seniors for their matchup against Kentucky’s best grads this Saturday.
Miller is part of the ‘core’ team and will also take part in next Wednesday night’s second Junior-Senior All-Star Game at Hamilton Southeastern High School. Beaven is part of the ‘south’ team that joins the core team tonight.
Tonight’s action gets underway at 7 p.m. (fast time) with the girls game. The boys game should start at around 9. Tickets are $6 at the door and children under six are free.
The same schedule will be used at Hamilton Southeastern.
The Indiana All-Star team will face Kentucky’s All-Stars on Saturday at the Owensboro Sports Center. The girls game tips off at 6 p.m. (fast time). Tickets are $14 and $22. On June 26, the two states collide again at Conseco Fieldhouse at 6 (girls) and 7:30 p.m. Tickets range in price from $12 to $18.
— To get to Shelbyville High School and legendary William L. Garrett Gymnasium: Take 65 to St. Rd. 44; Go east on St. Rd. 44; once you reach Shelbyville, go straight at the first 4-way stop/flashing light; turn left on Miller Street; Shelbyville High School will be on your left.
