Lowell Motsinger

Lowell (Kent) Motsinger, 86, Salem, died Sunday, June 13, 2004, at 9:40 a.m. at Jewish Kindred Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Martinsburg, born Aug. 13, 1917, he was the son of the late Guy and Mary Dodge Motsinger.
He retired from TMX Trucking, was an Army veteran of World War II, a graduate of Pekin High School and a member of Pekin Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Norman, Howard and Berkey Motsinger; a grandchild, and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, the former Audrey Kay; three daughters, Brenda Baker of Corydon, Barbara Ashabraner of Edmond, Okla., and Mariann McKenzie of Cave City, Ark.; a sister, Cletis Ashabraner of Pekin; eight grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 16, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Thursday, June 17, from 8 a.m. until time of service at Weathers Funeral Home in Salem.
Funeral: Thursday, June 17, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.
