Linus O. Schepers Sr.

Linus Otto Schepers Sr., 67, Charlestown, died Wednesday, May 19, 2004, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville.
A native of Louisville, born Nov. 10, 1936, he was the son of the late Victor E. and Theresia Englert Schepers.
He was a retired insulator for Cardinal Insulation, a Marine veteran, a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Charlestown and St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Clarksville, K of C in Charlestown, Asbestos Workers Local 55 and Friends of Hope. He was a 1955 graduate of Flaget High School and a past president of McCulloch Optimist Club.
Survivors include his wife, Marian Joan Schepers; a son, Linus O. Schepers Jr. of Indianapolis; three daughters, Tina Koverman of Floyds Knobs, Deborah Logan of Charlestown and Tammy Richert of Corydon; two brothers, Don and Earl Schepers, both of Louisville; two sisters, Betty Binford and Beverly Brockman, both of Louisville, and eight grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, May 22, at Scott Funeral Home in Jeffersonville with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Officiants: Fathers Stephen Donahue and Dismas Veeneman.
