Sectional pairings slated for girls fastpitch softball

Pairings for the 20th annual Indiana High School Athletic Association girls softball tournament were announced last Wednesday in Indianapolis.
Tickets are $4 per session or $7 for a season pass.
In Class 3A at Salem, North Harrison takes on the host school in the first game on May 24 at 6 p.m. (fast time). Game Two, which starts at 8, pits Corydon Central against Madison. The winners from the first two contests square off in Game Three on May 25 at 6, followed by a bye-game of Silver Creek versus Scottsburg at 8.
The championship is slated for May 27 at 7 p.m. (fast time).
In four-team, Class 1A sectional at Lanesville, Christian Academy of Indiana kicks off the tourney against Henryville on May 24 at 5 p.m. The second game, which starts at 7 that evening, pits the host Lady Eagles against South Central.
The championship is Friday, May 28, at 5:30.
Lanesville will also host the Class 1A regional on June 5. Winners from Hauser, Loogootee, Jac-Cen-Del and Lanesville will take part.
At Class 2A Crawford County, the host club takes on North Posey on the opener on May 24 at 7 p.m. (fast time).
On Tuesday at 6, Tell City takes on Forest Park while Perry Central battles Southridge.
On Wednesday, South Spencer will go up against the winner of Monday’s game at 6 p.m., followed by a scrum pitting Tuesday’s victors against each other.
The championship is slated for 7 p.m. on Thursday.
