Rae Davis Walk

Rae Davis Walk, 82, New Salisbury, died Monday, May 10, 2004, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Ramsey, born Oct. 6, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Robert S. and Nadine Rusk Davis.
She was a 1939 graduate of New Salisbury High School and graduated from Indiana University in 1943. She also attended MacMurry College and Yale University. She was a Navy WAVE veteran of World War II and taught at North Harrison Elementary School from 1955 to 1984. She worked as a physical therapist at Saint Anthony Hospital in Louisville and Southern Indiana Rehab Center in Clarksville.
She was a member of the Hoosier Elm Chapter Daughter of the American Revolution and New Salisbury United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas S. Walk of Ramsey and Charles E. Walk III of Huntingburg; a daughter, Rebecca A. Creek of New Salisbury; two brothers, Robert P. Davis of Ramsey and David L. Davis of Saint Simon’s Island, Ga.; four sisters, Judy Austin of Brandenburg, Billie Hart of Dallas, Martha Tower of Corydon and Carole Ennis of Jeffersonville; five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, May 12, and after 9 a.m. Thursday, May 13, at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Thursday, May 13, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial and military rites at Bethlehem Cemetery at Crandall.
