Charles Birkla, 90, Greenville, died at 10:03 p.m. Tuesday, April 27, 2004, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II, a retired town marshal in Greenville, and a member of New Testament Christian Church and Greenville Masonic Lodge.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Joe and Elbert Birkla, and two sisters, Mary Birkla and Helen Lamb.
Survivors include his wife, Katherine Birkla; two sons, E.C. Birkla of Palmyra and Larry Crawford of Atlanta, Ill.; a daughter, Mary Naugle of Sellersburg; four grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Masonic service: Thursday, April 29, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.
Funeral: Friday, April 30, at the funeral home with burial in Greenville Cemetery.
