Betty J. Weston

Betty J. Weston, 69, Salem, died Sunday, May 2, 2004, at 9:30 p.m. at Sellersburg Health and Rehab.
A native of Four-Mile, Ky., born June 24, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Cora Noe Burgan.
She was a retired licensed practical nurse and a member of VFW, American Legion Auxiliary and Salem First Baptist Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Michael Weston; two brothers, Charles and Woodrow Burgan; six sisters, Vera Betzold, Grace England, Elizabeth Dahlbeck, Wilma Sesit, Hazel McMinnis and Lena Burgan, and a grandchild.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Carl Weston; two sons, Matthew Weston of New Salisbury and Mark Weston of Bradenton, Fla.; a daughter, Nancy Gibbons of Pekin; a brother, James Burgan of Salem; three sisters, Virginia Carter of Borden, Mae Perez of Cincinnati and Barbara Cooley of New Jersey; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, May 5, from 8 a.m. to time of service at Weathers Funeral Home in Salem.
Funeral: Wednesday, May 5, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery.
