Herbert H. McKnight Sr.

Herbert H. McKnight Sr., 95, Elizabeth, died Sunday, April 25, 2004, at Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
A native of Doniphan, Mo., born April 11, 1909, he was the son of the late Jacob and Effie Deckard McKnight.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired heavy-equipment operator and a member of Operating Engineers Local 181.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, the former Helen Reader; two sons, Herbert Jr. and Charles Franklin McKnight, both of Elizabeth; nine grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, April 28, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, April 28, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Glenwood Cemetery near Elizabeth. Officiants: The Revs. Greg Carter and Paul Garriott.
Pallbearers: Brian, Todd and Terry McKnight, David Bachman, Jimmy Brewster and Tim Higdon.
Honorary pallbearers: Don Stewart, and Harold, Jimmy, Randy and Ricky Sample.
