James E. Morris
James E. (Jim) Morris, 67, English, died at 11:16 p.m., Friday, April 2, 2004, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
A native of Pennington Gap, Va., born May 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Elmer and Mabel Parsons Morris.
He was a former employee of Linker Brothers Baking Co. in Louisville, and a member of Farmdell Baptist Church and the Bakers, Confectioners and Tobacco Union, both of Louisville.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Morris, and a sister, Barbara Sappenfield.
Survivors include his wife of 24 years, the former Maxine Underhill; two sons, Jimmy R. Morris of New Galilee, Pa., and Chris Morris of Chapmansboro, Tenn.; a daughter, Symantha Thomas of Georgetown; three stepsons, Carl Faulkenburg of Charlestown, W.Va., and Jeffery and Charles Faulkenburg, both of Eckerty; a stepdaughter, Sherrill Vernon of Ramsey; three brothers, Johnny Morris of Georgetown, Tommy Morris of Palmyra and Robert Morris of New Salisbury; four sisters, Vivian Rudolph of Palmyra, Catherine Setser of Celestine, Judy Charles of Depauw and Brenda Slone of Nashville; 13 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Tuesday, April 6, at Denbo Funeral Home in English with burial in Eckerty Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. John Campbell.
Pallbearers: Devin Carrier, Dustin Carrier, Jason Vernon, and James, Neal, Michael and David Faulkenburg.
