William C. Dohoney, 78, Bradford, died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at his home.
He retired from Colgate-Palmolive Co. in Jeffersonville, where he worked 37 years, and was a former employee of Eddie Gilstrap Motors in Salem. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Michael Catholic Church in Bradford.
He was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Dohoney, and two brothers, Dewey (Curtis) and Russell Gene Dohoney.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, the former Dorothy Gettelfinger; three sons, Daniel Dohoney of Greenville, and Anthony and Brian Dohoney, both of Palmyra; three daughters, Margaret Raake of Ellettsville, Sharon Logsdon of Georgetown and Paula Eveslage of Greenville; five sisters, Catherine Smith and Linda Freeman, both of New Albany, Mazetta Whalen of Sellersburg, Carol Lamb of Floyds Knobs and Corola Dohoney of Clarksville; eight grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, March 27, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Arrangements: Love Funeral Home in Palmyra.
