Harry Preflatish

Harry G. Preflatish, 69, Branchville, died Thursday, March 25, 2004, at Owensboro Medical Health Systems.
A native of Martin, Ky., born May 11, 1934, he was the son of the late Martin and Betty Hill Preflatish.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mark Preflatish.
He was a U.S. Marine for 10 years, serving in Korea. He was employed as an internal affairs investigator for Branchville Correctional Facility for 22 years, a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in St. Croix, where he served on the parish council, and a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.
Survivors include his wife of 15 years, the former Vicky Butler; a son, Steven Preflatish of Doolittle Mills; five daughters, Sharon and Mary Bary, both of Depauw, Teresa Royer of Bristow, Susan Davenport of Marengo and Sarah Preflatish, at home; three stepsons, Jim and Michael Tate, both of Tell City, and David Tate of Belle, W.Va., 15 grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, March 27, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Arrangements: Huber Funeral Home in Tell City.
The family suggests memorial gifts to his church.
