Miller, Beaven named Jr. All-Stars

North Harrison’s Tara Miller and Corydon Central’s Dana Beaven were selected by the Indiana Coaches of Girls Sports Association to play with the Junior All-Star girls basketball team this summer.
Miller is part of the Core Team while Beaven is part of the South Team.
The Junior All-Stars will play exhibitions on June 16 and June 23 against the Indiana All-Star senior girls at sites to be determined.
Ticket information will be determined later, too.
The Core Team will play in both games, with players from the North and South teams to join the Core Team for one game apiece.
Other members are: Core Team ‘ Jodi Howell (Alexandria) Cassie Kerns (Valparaiso), Cassie Pruzin (Crown Point), Stephanie Lynch (New Albany), Kahla Roudenbush (Hamilton Southeastern); South Team ‘ Whitney Thomas (Bloomington High School North), Kiley Jarrett (Bloomington High School North), Lacey Workman (Ben Davis), Mara Freshour (Brown County), Paige Rudolph (Evansville Reitz Memorial), alternate Leah Phillips (Castle); North Team ‘ Kimberly Roberson (Cathedral), Aimee Litka (S.B. St. Joseph’s), Chelsea Miller (Shenandoah), BreAnne Miller (Huntington North), Porchia Green (Arlington), Kris Coner (Indian Creek), alternate Jerri Taylor (S.B. Washington).
Head coach for the Junior All-Stars is Curt Benge of Plainfield and he’ll be assisted by Dori Downing (Calumet) and George Wooten (Turkey Run).
