Virgie W. Curtis

Virgie W. Curtis, 95, Clarksville, died Sunday, March 14, 2004, at Wedgewood Healthcare Center in Clarksville.
A native of Golden Pond, Ky., born March 8, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Sam and Pearl Bryson White.
She was a retired cafeteria worker at Providence Retirement Home and a former employee at St. Catherine’s Hospital in Chicago.
Survivors include a brother, Wallace White of South Carolina; two sisters, Anna Byrd of Clarksville and Opal Minor of Indianapolis; a son-in-law, the Rev. August Huber of Lanesville, who cared for her; 10 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 17, after 8 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown.
Funeral: Wednesday, March 17, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Tunnel Hill Cemetery in Edwardsville.
Officiants: The Revs. August Huber, Vernon Huber and Hollis Huber.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Heart Association.
