Beatrice Herdman

Beatrice Coleman Herdman, 94, Martinsville, died Monday, Feb. 2, 2004, at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis.
A native of Palmyra, born Nov. 20, 1909, she was the daughter of the late George W. and Katherine Klinker Coleman.
She retired from Farm Bureau Insurance Co. after 28 years, and was an employee for several years at Indiana University Medical Center. She was a member of Crawford Street Church of Christ in Martinsville and a volunteer for Crossroads Rehabilitation. She was a 1927 graduate of Morgan Township High School in Palmyra and attended Indiana Business College one year.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Herdman on May 1, 1994; three sisters, Zettie Winkler, Frances Foutz and Ruth Daugherty, and five brothers, Courtney, Dr. Henry, Herman, Aaron and Dr. Floyd Coleman.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral: Saturday, Feb. 7, at Neal and Summers Mortuary in Martinsville with burial in Palmyra Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Heart Association.
