Virgil H. Jordan Jr.

Virgil H. Jordan Jr., 80, Corydon, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at Harrison Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.
A native of New Albany, he was an Army veteran and a member of the Redman Club, VFW Post 1693, Floyd County Coon Hunters and American Legion, all of New Albany.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Survivors include his wife, the former Arlene Knowles; a son, Russell Jordan of Columbus, Ohio; five daughters, Patty Jo Robinson of Vine Grove, Ky., Vickie Sue Spears and Diana Jordan, both of New Albany, Flossie Mclain of Tell City and Minnie Wynn of Paoli; three brothers, Walter Jordan of Arizona, Charlie Jordan of Hanover and Harry Kemp of New Albany; three sisters, Alberta Perkins of Arkansas, Ethel McCraney of Arizona and Dorothy Temple of Pekin; 19 grandchildren, and 45 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Tuesday, Jan. 13, at Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the family in care of the funeral home.
