Frank W. Shawler, 100, a resident at Cedar Court assisted living facility in Corydon, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
A native of Evansville, born Nov. 15, 1903, he was the son of the late Frank W. and Sylvia Willett Shawler.
He was a retired millwright at Kister Lumber Co.
Survivors include two sons, James Shawler of Satsuma, Ala., and Frank W. Shawler of New Albany; a daughter, Joyce Brown of Corydon; a sister, Lillian Dodson of Lexington, Ky.; 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and 26 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Tuesday, Dec. 30, at New Middletown United Methodist Church with burial in the church cemetery. Officiant: The Revs. Ted Chalk and Robert Carey. Arrangements: Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Pallbearers: Randall and Richard Shawler, Ted, Max and T.J. Brown, and Kenneth Wallace Jr.
