George P. Allen

George P. Allison, 67, Velpen, formerly of English, died Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, at 12:40 p.m. at the Norwood Good Samaritan Center in Jasper.
A native of Howard County, born March 4, 1936, he was the son of Myrtle Louise Graham Allison of Jasper and the late George Allison.
He was a retired diesel mechanic and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Allison.
Survivors besides his mother include two sons, George P. Jr. and Mark Allison, both of New Port Richey, Fla.; a daughter, Julie Allison of New Port Richey; five sisters, Wanda Geer, Debbie McNabb and Janet Allison, all of Jasper, Theresa Foley of Huntingburg and Margie Henthorn of Mount Vernon, Ohio; four grandchildren, and his caregivers, Catherine Wheadon and Oschiea Mote.
Visitation: Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 11, at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo.
Funeral: Thursday, Dec. 11, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Riddle Cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Joan Richie will officiate.
Military graveside rites: Performed by English VFW Post 6160.
