The Rev. Norris M. Rumbley

The Rev. Norris M. Rumbley, 79, Winslow, died Sunday, Nov. 16, 2003, at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Evansville.
A native of New Salisbury, born Aug. 31, 1924, he was the son of the late Edmund and Nettie C. Davis Rumbley.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, a retired minister for the Church of the Nazarene having served churches in Huntingburg, Cayuga, Lodoga, Union Chapel in Clay City and Crothersville, and Valley Mission in Bedford and Winslow.
Survivors include his wife, the former Jean C. Atwood; three sons, Donald L. Rumbley of Hendersonville, Tenn., Dan L. Rumbley of Boonville and Darrell G. Rumbley of Clay City; two brothers, Paul Rumbley of Palmyra and Merle Rumbley of Columbus, and six grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Nov. 19, after 10 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Funeral: Wednesday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon. Officiant: The Rev. Bill Reed.
