James E. Smith

James E. Smith, 51, Depauw, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003, at his home.
A native of Corydon, born Oct. 15, 1952, he was the son of the late Sheldon R. and Norma Jean Bary Smith.
He was a kiln foreman at Keller Manufacturing Co. in New Salisbury and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Frenchtown.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Michael E. Smith.
Survivors include his wife, the former Robin E. Senn; a daughter, Leah Gutknecht of Corydon; four brothers, Mark L. Smith of New Salisbury, Richard A. Smith of Depauw, Carl J. Smith of Pekin and Bernard A. Smith of Paoli, and four sisters, Mary M. Slaughterback and Esther M. DeWeese, both of Marengo, Elizabeth A. Smith of French Lick and Delores K. White of Depauw.
Funeral: Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey with burial of the cremains in St. Bernard Cemetery in Frenchtown.
Officiant: Father Fred Denison.
