John H. Bailey

John Henry Bailey, 65, Georgetown, died Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2003, at his home.
A native of Leslie County, Ky., born Oct. 6, 1938, he was the son of the late Gordon and Mackey Baker Bailey.
He was a mechanic for Allied System Trucking in Louisville, a Marine veteran and a member of the Galena Church of Christ, where he served as an elder.
Survivors include his wife, the former Helen Gilbert; two daughters, Pamela Popp and Regina Calhoun, both of Greenville; four brothers, Kenneth Bailey of Sacramento, Calif., Thomas and George Bailey, both of Leatherwood, Ky., and Homer Bailey of Beaver Dam, Ky.; two sisters, Sudie Rice of Yeddiss, Ky., and Polly Hansford of Peru, and four grandchildren.
Funeral: Saturday, Oct. 18, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown with burial in the Palmyra Cemetery.
Officiant: Simon Harriss.
Pallbearers: David Popp Sr., David Popp Jr., Johnathan Popp, Dwayne Calhoun, Lucian Dalton and Jim Cook.
Honorary pallbearer: Alex Lausterer.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hospice of Southern Indiana.
