IHSAA announces volleyball pairings

The 2003 state volleyball tournament gets underway next week, with Corydon Central hosting the Class 3A sectional for the first time.
The Lady Panthers open their own Sectional 30 tourney Thursday at 5:30 against Silver Creek, which is to be followed by Madison in a tilt against North Harrison. Scottsburg then plays Salem.
The winner of Creek-Corydon faces off against Providence (which received the bye) on Saturday morning at 11. The winners of Match One and Two go head to head, with the championship round being Saturday afternoon.
In Class 2A’s Sectional 48 at Perry Central, Southridge takes on Forest park on Monday at 6 p.m., followed by Crawford County and Perry Central. Tell City fights South Spencer. The Match One winner faces North Posey, which got the bye.
Monday’s winners advance to the semifinal round on Tuesday, with the championship round on Thursday at 6 p.m.
At Borden, for Class 1A’s Sectional 60, Henryville plays Lanesville on Thursday at 6 p.m. and New Washington plays Borden.
Thursday’s winners play Saturday morning at 11 a.m., followed by a match between Christian Academy of Indiana and South Central.
The morning victors advance to play in the final at 4:30.
Session tickets at all events are $4 each, or a season-pass can be purchased for $7 each.
