A Celebration of the Life of Gov. Frank L. O’Bannon

A memorial service for Gov. Frank L. OBannon is planned for Sunday, Sept. 21, at 2 p.m. EDT at the bandstand on the grounds of the first state Capitol in Corydon. The governor’s body has been cremated and his ashes will be buried at a later date in a private ceremony at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Corydon.
Corydon is located just 21 miles west of Louisville, Ky., on I-64, exit 105. Visitors will turn right (south) on Indiana 135. The Indiana Dept. of Transportation will post message boards near the exit with instructions regarding parking. Tune to WOCC, AM-1550 for parking instructions.
Parking will be available in all legal locations on town streets and parking lots in Corydon. Overflow parking will be available at area churches and other parking lots.
School buses will provide shuttle service between remote parking lots and downtown Corydon. On Sunday, shuttles will discontinue service at 1:45 p.m. EDT.
