Marsha W. Walts
Marsha W. Walts, 71, Depauw, died at 9:10 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of English, born March 14, 1932, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Joy Johnson Roll.
She was a homemaker and a member of Northwest Christian Church at Depauw.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Walts (June 20, 1992); two brothers, Dale and Wayne Roll, and a sister, Ruby Dowdle.
Survivors include two daughters, Rita Duane of Marengo and Linda Stroud of Depauw; four brothers, Richard Longest of New Salisbury, Roy Longest of Marengo, Johnny Longest of Paoli and Herschel Longest of Illinois; four sisters, Martha Atkins of Floyds Knobs, Opal Ingle of New Albany, Helen Lawson of Paoli and Sylvia Grubbs of Cypher, Texas; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Friday, Sept. 5, at Dillman-Green Funeral Home in Marengo with burial in El Bethel Cemetery in Milltown.
Officiant: The Rev. Rick Utz.
Music: Brenda Utz.
Pallbearers: Ronald Ritchie, Marty Stroud, Mike Stroud, Vincent Shields, Paul Barnum II and George Duvall. Honorary pallbearer: Tommy Gurtz.
