Paul E. Emily

Paul E. Emily, 74, Corydon, died Tuesday, Sept. 2, 2003, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
A native of Corydon, born April 1, 1929, he was the son of the late Chester Bryan and Lula Carpenter Emily.
He retired from Motor Convoy at Ford Motor Co. in Louisville and was a member of Masonic Valley Lodge 522 in Louisville and Old Capitol United Methodist Church in Corydon. He was a Union Steward at Local 89 in Louisville and an Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, the former Gwen Williams; two brothers, Archie Emily of New Albany and Max Emily of Scranton, Pa.; and two sisters, Helen Sears of Clarksville and Marilyn Banet of Floyds Knobs.
Visitation: Thursday, Sept. 4, from 1 to 9 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 5, after 9 a.m. at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Friday, Sept. 5, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
Officiant: The Rev. Allen R. Phillips.
Organist: Gary Pope.
Vocalist: The Rev. Richard Ryan.
Pallbearers: Lee, Ernie, James and Randy Emily, Paul Lowe and Mike Blankenship.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Old Capitol United Methodist Church’s music ministry or the American Lung Association.
