Clarence A. Crecelius

Clarence A. Crecelius, 84, Corydon, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2003, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon.
A native of Harrison County, born April 7, 1919, he was the son of the late Oscar and Pearl Hunsinger Crecelius.
He retired from W.W. Grangers in Louisville and was former employee of Kidd Appliance Co. in Corydon, an Army veteran of World War II, a volunteer at the Harrison County Hospital gift shop, a past captain of the Civil Air Patrol, a former tour guide at the Old State Capitol Historic Site in Corydon, and a member of Royal Neighbors.
Survivors include his wife, the former Evelyn C. Hannel; and a sister, Golda DeGuise of Huntington Beach, Calif.
Funeral: Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in St. Joseph Cemetery in Corydon.
Officiant: The Rev. Robert Shepherd.
Vocalist: The Rev. Otis Berry.
Pallbearers: Paul Dyer, Bill Brockman, Mark Woertz, Dale Lopp, Jim Wilson and Ralph McRae.
Honorary pallbearers: Earl Hannel, Gerald Lowe, Gerald Lowe Jr., Daniel Waynescott, Scott Dayvault, Wayne Luther, Gary Fugate and George Hannel Jr.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Harrison County Hospital Foundation.
