Inez E. Baumgartle

Inez E. Baumgartle, 89, Corydon, died Thursday, Aug. 21, 2003, at Harrison Health and Rehabilitation Centre in Corydon.
A native of Mercer County, Ill., born Feb. 21, 1914, she was the daughter of the late Oliver L. and Myra Park Brown.
She was a member of Zoar United Methodist Church near Corydon and Zoar Ladies Aid Society, and was a past leader of District 10 Women’s Farm Bureau and a past 4-H leader.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry V. Baumgartle, and a daughter, Wanda Hamilton.
Survivors include four sons, Larry Baumgartle of Floyds Knobs, Gerald Baumgartle of Crandall, Kenneth Baumgartle of Appleton, Wis., and Allen Baumgartle of Grand Junction, Colo.; two daughters, Phyllis Schneider of Springfield, Va., and Norma Higdon of Clarksville; a brother, Merle Brown of Monmouth, Ill.; a sister, Lela Hyder of Fort Collins, Colo.; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Sunday, Aug. 24, at Beanblossom-Cesar Funeral Home in Corydon with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
Officiant: Pastor Glenna Riggs.
Organist: Donna Love.
Vocalist: Stephanie Quinn.
Pallbearers: Janice Alexander, Ramona Quinn, Tim, Justin and Kevin Baumgartle and Todd Schneider.
Honorary pallbearer: Todd Clevinger.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Alzheimer’s Association.
