Louis A. Nelson

Louis A. Nelson, 95, Georgetown, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Brownstown, born Sept. 5, 1907, he was the son of the late William and Lillian Bierman Nelson.
He was a retired assistant vice president of the Federal Reserve Bank in Louisville, where he worked 44 years, was elder emeritus of Tunnel Hill Christian Church in Georgetown, a member of the Georgetown Masonic Lodge, a former member of St. Matthews Rotary Club and served on the state board of the Christian Church, Disciples of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Earl Nelson of Georgetown; a granddaughter, and a great-grandchild.
Funeral: Friday, Aug. 8, at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Georgetown with burial in the Edwardsville Cemetery.
Pallbearers: Tom Markland, Doug Harritt, Jim Short, Bob Riley, Leonard Clutsinger and Wayne Schellenberger. Honorary pallbearers: the church elders.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Perpetual Ministry Fund of his church.
