Paul I. Conrad

Paul I. Conrad, 71, New Salisbury, died Monday, July 21, 2003, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Louisville.
A native of Corydon, born July 22, 1931, he was the son of Myrtle M. Bill of Corydon and the late Clarence L. Conrad.
He was a founder and president of Conrad Transmissions in New Salisbury; an Army veteran of the Korean War and received a bronze star; a commander and member of Milltown American Legion Post 332; and a member of Old State Capitol VFW Post 2950 and Voiture 1349 of the 40 and 8 in Milltown.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Harold Conrad, and a sister, Anna Mae King.
Survivors besides his mother include his wife, the former Joyce A. Dodds; a son, Doug Conrad of Ramsey; five daughters, Paula Geyer and Phyllis Henderson, both of New Salisbury, Louise Wetzel of Depauw, Denise Lowe of Ramsey and Diana (Dee-Dee) Willis of Clarksville; two brothers, Roger B. Conrad of Jeffersonville and Wayne Conrad of Corydon; a sister, Marjorie Miller of Milltown; three half brothers, Frank Bill of Corydon, John Bill of Florida and Claude Bill of Texas; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Thursday, July 24, from 1 to 7:30 p.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
The body will be cremated.
Memorial service: Thursday, July 24, at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Officiant: Pastor Thomas Burk.
Military rites: Performed at the gravesite.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Milltown American Legion Post 332.
