Shirley Walton

Shirley Gail Smith Walton, 84, Lincoln, Neb., died Sunday, July 6, 2003, in Lincoln.
A native of Lincoln, born Oct. 20, 1918, she was a sales clerk and former employee of Miller and Paine, and a graduate of Lincoln High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Walton, a native of Milltown, an infant son, James Walton, and two sisters, Mary House and Joyce Firebaugh.
Survivors include a son, Brad Walton of Lincoln; a daughter, Renee Geller of Lincoln; a brother, James Smith of Lincoln; a sister, Charlotte Frizzell of Ohio; six grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
A private graveside service was held at Rolling Acres Cemetery in Lincoln. Wadlow Rozanek Colonial Chapel in Lincoln handled the arrangements.
The family suggests memorial gifts to The Capital Humane Society.
