Civil War returns again to Corydon Saturday, Sunday

The Battle of Corydon Reenactment will be held Saturday and Sunday at Hayswood Nature Reserve near Corydon.
The battle will take place at 4 p.m. Saturday and again at 2 p.m. Sunday at the nature reserve off S.R. 135 just west of Corydon.
Civil War camps will be open at the reserve from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday.
Other events will take place in downtown Corydon and at the Battle of Corydon Memorial Park south of downtown.
Events on the town square include a reenactment of Morgan’s Raid at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, historical lectures at the Wright Interpretive Center on Walnut Street at 1 and 2 p.m., and a Military Ball at 8 that evening on the town square.
There will be a $2 parking fee at Hayswood. All other events are free.
