Herbert E. Adam

Herbert Elvin Adam, 72, Greenville, died Saturday, June 21, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
He was a native of New Albany, a Navy veteran, a graduate of New Albany High School, and he retired from Indiana Bell in 1991, after 37 years.
He was a member of the Greenville Optimist Club, Boy Scouts of America and Pioneers of Indiana Bell.
He was preceded in death by a son, Herbert (Herbie) Adam Jr., and a sister, Joyce Lee.
Survivors include his wife, the former Martha Austin; a daughter, Rebecca Adam; a brother, Forrest Adam; two half brothers; three half sisters; and two grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 25, after noon at Kraft Funeral Service in New Albany.
Funeral: Wednesday, June 25, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the Greenville Optimist Club.
