Billy G. Miller

Billy G. Miller, 76, Milltown, died Tuesday, June 17, at his home.
A native of Milltown, born Dec. 18, 1926, he was the son of the late Roy C. and Lola F. Merryman Miller.
He was a farmer, a former employee for Hertzsch Trucking Firm, the owner of Miller’s Tavern, and a school bus driver for the Crawford County Community School Corp. for 24 years, where he drove the basketball team bus for Coach Ron Ferguson for many years.
He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Milltown United Methodist Church, American Legion Post 332 and VFW Post 2950 in Corydon.
Survivors include two sons, Frank Edward (Sonny) Miller of Lawrenceville, Ga., and Paul David (Davy) Miller of Milltown; a daughter, Anna Jean (Jeanie) Melton of Milltown; a sister, Betty Taylor of Marengo; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two stepgrandsons and four step-great-grandchildren; and a niece, Carole Morgan of Milltown, a nephew, Larry Miller of Marengo, and Maxine Brightwell of Milltown and Violet Stroud of Marengo, all whom cared for him.
Funeral: Saturday, June 21, at Brown-Newkirk Funeral Home in Milltown with burial in Union Chapel Cemetery. Officiants: Pastors Ethan Maple and Debbie Payne.
Pallbearers: Ray Mehling, Eddie and Larry Miller, Tom and Terry Morgan, Rick and Tony Jones, and Shawn White.
Honorary pallbearers: Billy and Rick Edwards, Bill Jackson, Tad Lincoln and Billy Walker.
