William E. Goldman Sr.

William E. Goldman Sr., 71, died Tuesday, June 3, at 1:55 a.m. at the Indian Creek Health and Rehabilitation Center in Corydon.
A native of Crawford County, born June 12, 1931, he was the son of the late Elvin E. and Olive Faye Cates Goldman.
He retired from U.S. Steel Homes in New Albany and was a member of Crawford County Consolidated United Methodist Church in Leavenworth and the Masonic Lodge 39 in New Albany.
Survivors include a son, William E. Goldman Jr. of Georgetown; a daughter, Linda Lou Brooke of Elizabeth; a sister, Betty Holland of Jeffersonville; four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Visitation: Wednesday, June 4, from 3 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, June 5, after 8 a.m. at Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Thursday, June 5, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with burial in Tower Cemetery in Carefree.
Officiant: The Rev. Alvin Wilson.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the American Diabetes Association.
