William Royce Shehorn, 61, Henderson, Ky., died Sunday, May 11, at his home.
A native of Nortonville, Ky., born Nov. 13, 1941, he was the son of the late Herbert and Viva June Vickery Shehorn.
He was a former tool and die maker for Ball Plastics Division for 22 years and at Service Tool and Die for five years. He owned and operated his own tool and die business for 15 years, and was a charter member and president of the Evansville Knife club for 22 years.
He was a lifetime member of American Blade Society and a member of National Knife Collectors Association for 32 years, Southern Indiana Gun Collectors, Society of Plastic Engineers, and a 32-year member of Wesleyan Chapel in Evansville, where he served as associate pastor for the last 10 years.
Survivors include his wife, the former Lucille Waters; four sons, Shannon Shehorn of Henderson, Tim Shehorn of Newburgh, Rodney Shehorn of Corydon and Samuel Shehorn of Mount Carmel, Ill.; a daughter, Sara Marquez of Evansville; a brother, Herbert Mackey Shehorn of Evansville; a sister, Deanna Griffen of Evansville; and 10 grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, May 14, after 8 a.m. at Boone Funeral Home in Evansville.
Funeral: Wednesday, May 14, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Roselawn Cemetery in Henderson.
Pallbearers: Shannon, Tim, Rodney, Samuel, Justin and Jared Shehorn, and Jose Marquez.
