Tony B. Byrne

Tony B. Byrne, 74, Rushville, died Saturday, April 26, at Rush Memorial Hospital.
A native of Harrison County, born Feb. 13, 1929, he was the son of the late Wallace and Helen Fouts Byrne.
He was an owner and operator of a family grocery in Rushville until 1984; a former employee of International Harvester in Indianapolis until he retired in 1984 after 30 years; a 1947 graduate of Orange High School; and he attended St. Paul United Methodist Church.
He was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the original International (Furniture) softball team during the 1950s.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sherry Kuebler.
Survivors include his wife, the former Janiece Malson; a son, John M. Byrne of Rushville; a brother, Wallace Byrne Jr. of Lafayette; and three grandchildren.
Funeral: Wednesday, April 30, at Moster and Cox Mortuary in Rushville with burial in East Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Charles Aigner officiated.
