Gloria J. Fry

Gloria Jane Fry, 58, Floyds Knobs, died at 11:27 p.m. Sunday, April 27, at Kindred Hospital in Louisville.
A native of Ladysmith, Wis., born Sept. 24, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Leon H. Appel and Veva Crooks Appel.
She was employed at Signature Mortgage Co. and worked 12 years at Kenray Associates, and was a 1962 graduate of Lincoln Community High School. She toured many states as a member of the Lifeliner’s Trio of Lincoln College, gave private voice lessons and sang in many choirs and music groups. She and her husband, Timothy F. Fry, ministered to churches in Flora, Mount Auburn and Urbana, all in Illinois, Canton, Ohio, Dallas and was the minister of Greenville Christian Church for seven years until 2002.
Survivors besides her husband and mother include two sons, Brady Fry of Nashville, Tenn., and Zachary Fry of Floyds Knobs; two daughters, Natalie Bajandas of Louisville and Katherine King of New Albany; three brothers, Mike Appel of Lincoln, Ill., Gregg Appel of Puplinge, Switzerland, and Gene Appel of Henderson, Nev.; and two sisters, Glenda Allison and Gail Clark, both of Lincoln, Ill.
Visitation: Wednesday, April 30, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Pyke-Calloway Mullineaux Chapel and Thursday, May 1, from noon until the funeral at Northside Christian Church in New Albany.
Funeral: Thursday, May 1, at the church with burial in Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
Officiant: Pastor George Ross.
The family suggests gifts to The Lupus Foundation or Muscular Dystrophy in care of the funeral home.
