Betty Ripperdan

Betty J. Ripperdan, 66, Corydon, died Tuesday, March 25, at Harrison County Hospital in Corydon after a lengthy battle with rheumatoid arthritis.
A native of Corydon, born Dec. 10, 1936, she was the daughter of Catheryn L. Reas Mathes of Corydon and the late George F. Mathes.
She was the manager of the Scoopy-Doo Ice Cream Parlor in Corydon, a cake decorator for several years and a member of Heidelberg United Methodist Church and Dayspring Emmaus Community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Ripperdan, and two infant daughters, LuAnn and Marla Jo.
Survivors besides her mother include a son, Curtis Ripperdan of Corydon; two brothers, Donald G. and Larry W. Mathes, both of Corydon; and two sisters, Nancy Snyder and Mary Lou Emily, both of Corydon.
Funeral: Saturday, March 29, at Heidelberg UMC with burial in the church cemetery.
Officiant: The Rev. Gary Cooper and Larry Hensley.
Arrangements: Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
The family suggests memorial gifts to the church building fund.
