Melvin E. Langsdon, 77, Elizabeth, died at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at his home.
He was a retired employee of the Harrison Crawford State Forrest, a Navy veteran of World War II and a Baptist.
Survivors include his wife, the former Juanita L. Pearson; two sons, Carl M. and Alan D. Langsdon, both of Elizabeth; two daughters, Donna Rae Roberts of Georgetown and Gloria Jean Lewis of Elizabeth; two brothers, Harold R. Langsdon of Lakeland, Fla., and Earl Wayne Langsdon of Elizabeth; two sisters, Loretta Schweitzer of New Albany and Laura M. Roberts of Jeffersonville; 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 5, after 8 a.m. at Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home in Corydon.
Funeral: Wednesday, March 5, at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery in Elizabeth.
Military rites: performed at the grave site.
Pallbearers: Danny Mitchell, Rob Thompson, Keith Neal, Kenny Sherrard, David Lockman and Pete Thorn.
