Virginia L. Whittaker

Virginia L. Bowles Whittaker, 70, Palmyra, died Friday, Feb. 21, at Floyd Memorial Hospital and Health Services in New Albany.
A native of Milltown, born May 9, 1932, she was the daughter of the late George and Sallie M. Jaggers Bowles.
She was of the Lutheran faith.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Whittaker of Laconia and Mike Whittaker of Terrace Park, Ohio; two brothers, Jesse Bowles of Depauw and Ralph Bowles of Marengo; two sisters, Edith Johnson of Florida and Lillie Harmon of Terre Haute; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 10 a.m. at Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
A joint memorial service for her and her late husband, Charles Whittaker, who died April 13, 2001, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the funeral home. The bodies were cremated and will be buried in Thomson Chapel Cemetery in Depauw.
