Sam B. Thrasher

Sam Baker Thrasher, 80, Pekin, formerly of Burkesville, Ky., died Friday, Feb. 7.
He retired from Stetzel-Weller Distillery and Baptist Hospital East, and was a member of Cumberland County (Ky.) Masonic Lodge 413 F&AM, Washington County Coon Hunters Club and Martinsburg Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nonnie and Daisy Baker Thrasher, and a sister and three brothers, Geneva, Joe McKinley, Ed and Benton Thrasher.
Survivors include his wife, the former Priscilla Butler; two sons, Steve Thrasher of Pekin and David Thrasher of New Salisbury; a sister, Carmelita Thrasher Smith of Burkesville; and three grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, Feb. 10, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra with burial in Martinsburg Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial gifts to Hospice of Southern Indiana or the Alzheimer’s Association.
