Louis J. Schilmiller, 87, Floyds Knobs, formerly of Elizabeth, died Sunday, Feb. 9, at his home.
A native of Harrison County, he was the son of the late Louis F. and Ruth Brown Schilmiller.
He retired from Hooker Chemical Co., and was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Navilleton.
He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Rosemary McGill.
Survivors include a son, Joe Schilmiller of Floyds Knobs; two daughters, Virginia Ann Gilkey and Peggy Rissler, both of Clarksville; a brother, Vincent Schilmiller of Bradford; two sisters, Lucille Fessel of California and Mary Ruth Kutter of Richmond; and nine grandchildren.
Visitation: Wednesday, Feb. 12, after 9 a.m. at Generations Funeral Home in New Albany.
Funeral Mass: Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church of Navilleton with burial in the church cemetery.
