Monroe Shine CPAs has made a $50,000 donation to the YMCA of Harrison County.
“It’s the right thing to do,” said Dale Gettelfinger, president and CEO of Monroe Shine. “Our CPA firm was founded in 1925. Since our start, we have been privileged to work with Harrison County businesses and families. All of us at Monroe Shine are thankful for these business and personal relationships.”
Gettelfinger added, “Several of our partners grew up in Harrison County and still have family in the county. We are excited about what the YMCA will do for kids and families in Harrison County.”
Monroe Shine CPAs’ donation includes $30,000 to the building campaign and $20,000 in accounting, auditing and financial planning services.
As a part of its recognition program, the YMCA will feature Monroe Shine CPAs success story in a display at the YMCA.
“We have had several generous corporate donors, and rather than just naming a room for them, we want to inspire kids with their success stories,” explained Catherine Turcotte, executive director of the YMCA of Harrison County. “Each one of our large donors has exceptional qualities that have made them successful.
“For Monroe Shine, it’s work ethic … in their own words, that means ‘get in a little earlier, work a little harder, stay a little later, and treat people with respect.’ Those are words that I want my kids to read on their way to the pool or basketball court,” said Turcotte.
Other corporate donors who will be featured in the “Standards of Success” display are Caesars Indiana, Carriage Ford, Community First Bank, First Harrison Bank, and Tyson Foods. All have made donations of $50,000 or more.
