Albert A. Simon

Albert A. (AB) Simon, 94, Depauw, died Friday, Jan. 17, at Walnut Creek at Corydon.
A native of Depauw, born Sept. 5, 1908, he was the son of the late Edward F. and Mary Grantz Simon.
He was a self-employed carpenter, former Spencer Township trustee, former Harrison County Highway Dept. road supervisor and a member of St. Bernard Catholic Church in Frenchtown.
He was preceded in death by a son, Maurice J. Simon.
Survivors include his wife, the former Margie Atkins; two sons, Edward Simon of Depauw and Frank Simon of Hardinsburg; three daughters, Judith Warner of Alexandria, Va., and Wilma Combs and Joan Hunter, both of Depauw; three sisters, Kathleen Harpe of New Albany, Magdalene Kaper of Bel Aire, Md., and Annabelle Jackson of Indianapolis; 19 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral: Monday, Jan. 20, at St. Bernard Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
Arrangements: Swarens Funeral Home in Ramsey.
Officiant: Father Fred Denison.
Organist: Michelle Whittaker.
Pallbearers: Frank Simon Jr., Gary Simon, David Simon, Samuel J. Atkins, Jerry Atkins Sr. and Brian Churchill.
